Highlights of your life since graduation: Bounced from college to college until it dawned on me that I'd never get a degree if I kept hiding from math classes. I finally gave up and became what I was meant to be....a starving artist. But my husband had other plans. He wanted to own his own business in Colorado. Just us and the bears! It was wonderful. A great place to bring up kids.
Memories or anything else you'd like to share: I remember summers at rainbow beach and Saturdays at the Avalon Theatre. I loved ball games and the museum when it was too hot for ball games.

City: Astoria
Country: US
State / Province: OR
Grade school attended: Bradwell
Highlights of your life since graduation: After SSH I attended Lincoln College in Lincoln, Ill. for a year. I then spend 4 1/2 years in the US Navy; I was stationed at NAS Memphis, NAS Whidbey Island, Wa., Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, Ca., and was honorably discharged at NAS Miramar outside of San Diego. I married my 1st wife and had a son and two daughters. My next 8 years were spent as a commercial diver mostly in Calif. I then ran boats all over the North and South Pacific for another ten years.

A new phase of my life started and I met my 2nd wife that I've been with for 37 years and we have a great 25 year old son. We purchase a 65 foot offshore racing sailboat and visited most of the Caribbean Islands, the East Coast of the U.S. and ended up in San Francisco with the boat three years later and had to sell it and settle down before we were completely broke. We purchased a tuna boat in 1985 that carries 50 tons of frozen tuna and fished both the North and South Pacific for albacore tuna. We still have the boat to this day. I only fish the boat June through Oct. in the North Pacific with my 4 man crew including my youngest son now. I have been working part time as an Emergency Medical Technician for the same company for almost 20 years during the off fishing season. I have also been a volunteer fireman and Captain for our local fire dept. for many years. We have lived on the Columbia River for over 20 years. I am very thankful to have had a very colorful and exciting life and I'm still alive to tell about it.
Memories or anything else you'd like to share: South Shore High School, The wresting coach Mr. Conforti, sneaking cigarettes during recess, Rainbow Beach, Carl's. I regret missing the reunion; I didn't even know anything about it till I stumbled on this website a short time ago.

Judith Rivera Rosso (Wodis)

City: Roccaverano
Country: IT
Highlights of your life since graduation: I married at 19, had two children, lived on mountaintops in New Mexico where I taught Indian children and learned some healing methods of Indians. Moved to Miami, divorced, taught, made lots of sculpture, produced TV programs for Public Television, then Public Radio. Married again, wrote freelance films, traveled a lot with husband - an Italian pilot, moved to Italy. I now have 6 grandchildren! I studied EFT and,in 2005, we began restoring an ancient Italian farm and we now have a beautiful Bed & Breakfast on our organic farm in a place we call paradise.
Memories or anything else you'd like to share: Soon after graduation, I lost contact with all of you. During the past few years of gradually re-discovering friends from South Shore through phone calls, e-mails and one former classmate who even came here to Italy to stay in our B&B, I have re-discovered a joyful part of my past that is bringing incredible happiness to my present and future :-). (with apologies to Miss Roach for such a long sentence!)
