Highlights of your life since graduation: My greatest achievement has been raising four healthy, well-adjusted children who as adults are grounded in morality and family. I attribute my success to my own parents who lived their values and made good choices for my sisters and me. Living in South Shore and attending schools where achievement was expected contributed to that foundation. At the time I thought everyone had my life. I realize now that it was a gift. I gave that gift to my children, and I see them passing it on to their children. I feel very blessed. |

Grade school attended: | Myra Bradwell |
Highlights of your life since graduation:
Working as a Stewardess for Northwest airlines for 35 years was a wonderful opportunity to be a part of the world I live in. I enjoyed golfing and was 9 holer champion for two years and now I am enjoying watercolor painting and taking cruises with friends. Going to the Great Barrier Reef and snorkeling with the fish; seeing the Great Wall of China and going to South Africa for a month and seeing the beautiful wildlife were awesome as was taking a train trip recently from Seattle to Los Angeles. I also just met my Great Grandson Maisen who is a bundle of joy. I love doing charity work with a group of retired Flight Attendants and we raised $25,000 this year for Seeing Eye Dogs. |

Memories or anything else you'd like to share: I love taking pictures of sunsets and sunrises and still am in shock that all these years have gone so fast. I am very fortunate to have wonderful friends and family who care and are loving people in my life. I have had two husband pass away which is very difficult. I decided that just because my name is Alona I didn't have to be alone and so I continue to try to help others who are not as fortunate and to give thanks everyday for how fortunate I am. I enjoy living in Palm Desert California and lived in Seattle for 32years. Palm Desert is a beautiful place to retire and there is so much to do here. I have lots of company in the Winter and even some visitors in the summer. Life is good and going to quickly that is for sure. |
