City: Libertyville
State / Province: IL
Grade school attended: Bradwell
Highlights of your life since graduation: I've been a professor of Business since 1975. I teach the soft side of management, Organizational Behavior, Strategy, Ethics. I've been at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for 31 years. Before that I taught at the University of Sakatchewan and the University of North Dakota. Yes, I prefer the extreme cold to the extreme heat.

I was single until 1984 when I entered a marriage that lasted 5 months. I gave up on marriage, decided I wanted to be a dad and adopted a boy from Vietnam. That was finalized in 1994 (not an easy process). Sure enough, once I became a single parent, I met my future wife. We met in 95, married in 99 and are still going strong.

I do not plan to retire anytime soon. I like my job too much and am uncomfortable with idle time. As long as my mind, eyes, and most of the rest of my body stay healthy, I'll work.

Robert Guy

City: Tunkhannock
Country: US
State / Province: PA
Grade school attended: Bryn Mawr
Highlights of your life since graduation: Highlights? After I pried a degree out of So. Ill. Univ. I needed a reliable career, so I went into show business. I spent 5 years singing at the Metropolitan Opera in NY and toured with dozens of shows. Bored of that I moved to aviation and flew and marketed jet aircraft (with a short stint as an airline captain) for several years. Then settled down to be a purveyor of salt based deicing products in the Northeast. I retired there and now I'm teaching in Tunkhannock's High School.

Somehow along the way, I've become older that I ever thought I'd be.

Looking at the "highlights" it looks like its been a hell of a ride. I guess it has.
Memories or anything else you'd like to share: The sermon:

Several of you have commented on the special place South Shore was in the late fifties. It certainly was special but it didn't get that way by accident. Our parents created the South Shore we grew up in and maintained it. We need to do the same for our children and grandchildren. So get out there and participate...

Give me an S...Give me an O...Give me a U...etc,etc.

All the best to all.
