State / Province: | IN |
Grade school attended: | Bryn Mawr |
Highlights of your life since graduation:
I took art classes at The Chicago Academy of Fine Art and studied voice at The American Conservatory of Music while working for Blue Cross Blue Shield on Michigan Avenue. In '66 I got married, had three wonderful children, moved to Whiting, Indiana and divorced my first husband ten years later. I have been married to my second husband Jim for 34 years. He had four children from a previous marriage. Between us we have 7 children,13 grandchildren and 2 great-grand children. For awhile, I taught painting classes at a local craft shop in Whiting. We retired in '98 to Monticello ,Indiana on Shafer Lake. We are a five minute drive to Indiana Beach. Even though I now live in the country, I will always be a city girl at heart. |

Memories or anything else you'd like to share:
Cunis,Carl's hot dogs, Rainbow Beach. Jewish deli food. When I turned 16, I made my Mom pay full price at the Jeffery Theater. No one questioned her about my age. I'm still 4'101/2". Sharon Farmer and I would go to the Hamilton Theater and see English movies like The Lavender Hill Mob. . I attended Saturday morning classes at The Art Institute from seventh grade in Bryn Mawr and part of SSHS. My instructor was Addis Osbourne who created Uncle Mistletoe that appeared in the windows of Marshall Field and Co. So many memories. I am looking forward to seeing everyone. |
