For many years, Steve and I were fine art dealers and gallery owners. I became director of a family resource center when we semi-retired to Wisconsin. Soon afterward, our 3rd son Ben was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Ben died in 2008 at the age of 37, a terrible loss to our entire family. Steve and I have since established ALS WORLDWIDE to assist ALS patients. We've been married for 47 years and have nine amazing grandchildren. Memories or anything else you'd like to share:Our son Ben's legacy is "Indestructible", an award winning documentary film that continues to be shown worldwide by ALS patients, researchers, physicians and the general public because his documented search for a cure and for meaning for his life, is universal. ALS WORLDWIDE is a non-profit organization that provides support to ALS families internationally through scientific research interpretation, individual patient advocacy and community activism.
