After completing my graduate work in Colorado, I married and lived in a variety of National Parks to include the Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Dinosaur, Voyagers and finally to Cape Cod National Seashore. I have held a variety of teaching positions from Project Headstart to teaching at the University Level. I even started a school for juvenile delinquents in Minnesota. I have had many transitions in my lifestyle, the most striking perhaps was moving from Death Valley in 120 degrees to International Falls, MN where it was 40 degrees below zero our first winter there. I have shared all these transitions with my two children who now have children of their own. Family remains the core component of my life to include my two sisters and their families in the Chicago area. My departure from the high school classroom 6 years ago allowed my consulting to expand. I have lead workshops in Kuala Lampur, Santo Domingo as well as cities throughout the United States. For recreation I ride my bike and have toured many states by pedal. My favorite bike ride was across Iowa with RAGBRAI and the other 5,000 plus riders. In the winter I cross-country ski.

After graduation from South Shore, I attended Roosevelt University and graduated with a BS degree in Biology, Chemistry & Medical Technology.
I am married to my wonderful husband Philip for 45 years. We have two great kids and three wonderful grandchildren. Of course, we are always hoping for more! My first years of work were in medical research until I moved over to the pharmaceutical side where my last twenty-two years were spent with GlaxoSmithKline as a very successful Account Director for Managed Markets. I am now very happy to be retired and love to keep in touch with my old colleagues. Philip and I love to travel and have traveled through Europe and Asia. We have already planned our next trip to South America. Looking forward to seeing old friends and reminiscing about old times. |

Vicki and I were fixed up in college and we've been married 44 years. Our daughter, Melissa, lives in DC, and is in charge of legislative affairs for Homeland Security. She is about to have our first grandchild about ten days before the reunion. I hope the baby knows that it can't be late.
I went to the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management to seek a career in foreign trade. After two years working, I realized that corporate America and me were not a match, and by luck, landed in the insurance business and have been an agent for 42 years. Vicki is a lawyer. Travel was our main interest anyway, and like many in our class, we've been fortunate to see much of the world, and hope there's more to go. We live in Lincoln Park, in the heart of the off loop theater district, so we keep very busy. I've finished a combo of seven Chicago and New York marathons - the last one was ten years, some pounds, and two knee surgeries ago. And thanks to classmate Bert Kraft, whose skill saved my sight in one eye. Mrs. Majors dancing for pennies, Mr. Kelly and the bookroom, Mr. Duban, gooey brownies, the Opener and Closer, Tommies, finally winning the Sing, and the prom. I still play golf at Jackson Park. Maybe once a year, after a round, I'll drive by the house on Merrill. It still looks good. I can see me mowing the lawn. For those of us lucky enough to be here, we're all playing the back nine now. Some of our classmates only had a chance to play a few holes, or maybe nine, like my oldest friend Julian Scheinbuks, who had very much been looking forward to this reunion. Let's hope that we can all play a full eighteen, and that we still have some good shots left in our bag. |
