I married Barry Demovsky in 1965 and had two sons. Our sons married, and we have 5 delightful grandchildren. Our youngest son,Michael, is an Assistant Principal at Streamwood High School in Streamwood, IL. Our oldest son, Rob, is a sports writer in Green Bay,WI where he covers the Packers. I went on to graduate school and received my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Teacher Training from St. Xavier and did my post graduate work at Loyola University in Chicago. At one time, there were three of us working on advanced degrees: my son, a daughter-in-law and myself!!!

Barry and I have enjoyed traveling to much of Europe. I still take students to Washington, D.C. for a company that employs me. My former students and I had the pleasure of having breakfast with Sen. Durbin and the then Sen. Obama. These particular students will be voting in the next election. How exciting for them!!
We have spent the winters in Naples, FL, since retiring, where we meet up with many South Shore Alumni. There is so much to talk about, but it always comes back to the wonderment of growing up in South Shore and attending SSHS. We all remember many of the teachers, hangouts, sporting events. It's so much fun sharing those days with those who remember and were there. I also had the honor of attending the Classes of 1960's reunion as Barry was one of the chairpersons.

In 1961 I met my Husband Herman. We were married in 1964. Have 3 great children and 6 terrific grandchildren.

Through the years I have enjoyed several interesting careers. Working in the medical field as a technologist,, owning and running BarViani Designs along with my sister Vivian (class of '64)
Currently helping out part time in our business, Ronny's Steak House that my husband has owned and operated since 1963.

We are fortunate to spend most of the winter at our home in Palm Springs. Golfing, hiking and loving every minute of it. Our life has been very full and busy.............a great ride.
A special thanks to Kathy Rand for devoting so much time and energy to the reunion Kathy....you have outdone yourself.
Everyone on the committee has also done an outstanding job. It has been a pleasure to be a part of it.
SSHS as always bring back great memories. It was one of the best times of my life. I look forward to seeing everyone.
