Our daughters Laura and Anne have matured into two splendid young women who now live one block apart in Fort Greene Brooklyn and who both pursue interesting and creative careers in NYC. They have been my life's greatest reward. Liz and I were thrilled during a recent visit with Laura and Anne in Brooklyn to receive the news of Laura's engagement to Weston Wells. They'll marry in September.
Until today I had not been seriously considering attending the reunion feeling that I would prefer to remember my classmates in their prime at 17 or 18 years old rather than the reality of today's 67 and 68 year olds. However, today I received a totally unexpected phone call from classmate Carol Martin and had such a good time talking with her that I may now reconsider.

We raised Robb (Wasilla, Alaska), Tiffany (Mokena, IL)and Damon (LaGrange Park, IL). We enjoy our 3 grandsons, ages 22, 17 and 10, and our 8 yr. old grandaughter.
In June of 2010, I retired from my position as a buyer of services and supplies for MRO at Sony DADC in Bolingbrook, IL.
My life has been, and continues to be, rich with learning experiences. My loved ones and I are successful and healthy. I feel truly blessed and am grateful. Life is good! The words and mannerisms of Miss Long, Mrs. Majors and Miss Upton seem to have impressed themselves on my memory permanently. They were colorful "characters" that I would probably describe as "awesome" today.

Oh why did I want to grow up so fast!
The trig test or Saturday night date
Were the worries of the day
Little did I know what was coming my way
So here I am, 50 years after high school
And everything is pretty cool
I have been married for 48 years
Three children and five grandchildren bring me much cheer
I Spent thirty years teaching kids of all kinds
This has always been a passion of mine
Playing bridge and exercise classes keep me on the ball
But being with family and friends(new and old) is best of all
As long as everyone is healthy and fine
Then life is good and that's the bottom line
Wishing all my "old" classmates years filled with health and happiness.
